Mo Mandel
If you don’t know who I am, I gotta wonder why you are on the this site in the first place. There is SO much other stuff on the internet that you could be looking at. But, just in case you need a refresher, or ended up here by accident, I am a guy from NorCal who is currently living in SoCal. I got my degree in creative writing and have since created long running TV shows, short running TV shows, been in a ton of TV shows, in a few movies, and written a bunch of commercials and want to write more of them because unlike the pilots and movie scripts I’ve sold, commercials actually get made. I also do stand-up on the road when my kids and wife’s allow it.
Stand Up
All jokes aside, I perform stand-up every week around LA. When i’m in town you can find me at The Comedy Store, The Laugh Factory, or The Comedy and Magic Club. When I’m on the east coast you can find me at The Comedy Cellar or NY Comedy Club. Check out my stand page for tour dates!
The Writing
I created and was an executive producer for truTV’s Comedy Knockout. We did almost 100 episodes and it was a lot of fun and I got to write a million jokes for my favorite comics. These days, I mostly I write pilots, reality formats, and action movies, as well as commercials for brands like NO BULL, JUNKLESS, and PUBLIC-REC.
The Acting
I’ve been on ton of shows and even got to be a series regular on an NBC primetime sitcom that sadly didn’t last very long. But I learned a ton about how to act, and bought a Honda. I have since appeared as a guest star on really successful shows, and bought a Subaru. I also just shot a movie, and I have a big role in it. So perhaps soon I shall own a Volvo.
Why Mo?
The guy who I paid to make this website included this box and the question of, “Why Mo?” I wouldn’t have put it in the site. But since he did, and I paid him to do it, the answer is, because I’m a hard worker who loves the process of creating, performing, and making stuff.
